A custom GroundTruth clarity tube (also known as a transparency tube). Water clarity tubes are inexpensive, robust, easy-to-use citizen science tools for water quality monitoring. They measure water clarity in centimeters (cm), which is a useful metric of the suitability of water for various aquatic species in and of itself, but also serves as a proxy for estimating the total suspended solids (TSS) in water. Specifications: 50mm diameter, 4mm thick perspex tube – 1m in length. Engraved cm graduation up to 97cm along side and a 3d printed rubber cap. Magnetized 3d printed plastic disk to measure water clarity.
